KUCHING: Sarawakians are urged to make good the forthcoming New Zealand Alumni Convention (NZAC) 2004 to exchange experience, share knowledge and establish networking with international delegates.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Alfred Jabu who made the call described NZAC as a golden opportunity for all participants to open up their mind and look into different aspects of life.

"This will be an eye and mind opener for the public here because several world renowned speakers are invited to share perhaps same topics but definitely fresh ideas," he told a press conference at his office here yesterday.

Jabu, who is also a vice-patron for the convention, said the public should not miss this rare chance to look at the world with different eyes and mind, adding that it was difficult to get renowned speakers gathered for ideas and views.

Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud would open and address the convention and a diversity of programmes had been arranged for it, he said.

NZ Centre here organises the convention with the theme "It's a Small World for New Zealand Alumni" to be held at the Riverside Crowne Plaza from July 8 to 10 where more than 20 booths will be set up for displaying New Zealand products and services.
