KUCHING: The New Zealand Food Fair, held in Merdeka Palace every Thursday night
in the month of August, received tremendous response.
The last evening of the food fair was on Aug 28 where a lucky draw was held.
The first prize was a return air ticket to New Zealand sponsored by Air New
Zealand and Tourism New Zealand.
The other sponsors are Supreme Cold Storage Sdn Bhd and Choice Daily, major
importers of New Zealand food like New Zealand lamb, beef, oyster, salmon, green
mussels and a lot of vegetables and a good variety of cheese.
The lucky winner of the first prize lucky draw is Vivian Teo Hua Joo of No 208,
Lot 3457, Lorong 13, Jalan Kapor, Kuching.
The other 20 winners, who will each receive a discount voucher worth RM50 from

The donation to the five charitable organisations, namely Sarawak Thalassaemia
Society, the School for the Mentally Retarded Children (Perkata), Kidney
Dialysis Centre, Sarawak Children's Cancer Society and Lion Nursing Home will be
held at a later date.
The Malaysia New Zealand Business Council, Sarawak Chapter under its chairman
Alex Ting and the organising committee of the food fair headed by Josephine
Chiew expressed appreciation for the support given by the New Zealand High
Commission, the sponsors and the public.
