NEW Zealand Milk Products (M) Sdn Bhd expects to chalk up a 5% increase in market
share in the industry by the end of this year with the introduction of its new full cream
milk powder product.
Its brand manager, Caroline Giller, said that the company had a 20% share in the Malaysian
market.
She said that the 5% could be achieved as she had predicted a huge demand for the
company's products due to the innovation.
The new Fernleaf Full Cream Milk Powder with vitamin B3, to be launched this month,
could also benefit children nutritionally, Giller told Bernama after a media tour of the
company's factory in Petaling Jaya recently.
She said that the company's products had been formulated with the assistance of the
Fonterra Research Centre to ensure the quality of the products.
Meanwhile, its managing director Richard Ng said the company adopted stringent
quality control at its factories to ensure the "highest quality milk products that are extremely safe
and healthy for consumption."
New Zealand Milk Malaysia began operations in 1975 and is headquartered at the Subang Hi-Tech Industrial Park.
Its range of products are milk and milk-based products such as Fernleaf, Fernleaf
Boneeto, Anlene Hi-Calcium Milk Powder, Anmum and Chesdale. - Bernama |
