Business council holds annual general meeting

KUCHING: The Malaysia New Zealand Business Council (MNZBC) Sarawak Chapter held its annual general meeting followed by a dinner at a leading hotel here on Thursday.

The MNZBC was set up to help promote trade between Malaysia and New Zealand.

A proposal is currently in progress to organise Kuching's first New Zealand alumni convention for 2004.

Meanwhile, after the meeting the new office bearers of the MNZBC Sarawak Chapter was announced.

They are:
Chairman - Alex K.K. Ting; vice chairperson - Josephine Chiew; secretary - Pauline Tang; treasurer - Felix Ho; committee members - Victor Fong, Graeme Brown, Paul Amin Satem, Stephen Lim, Stephen Hii and Wilson Tan; auditor - Dr Chua Ching Geh, and immediate past chairman - Stephen Kong. During the dinner a talk on 'Aspects of Dayak Material Culture' was presented by Dr Thomas Chung.
