KLANG - NZ Wheels Sdn Bhd, the sole importer of completely-built-up Mercedes Benz cars from Germany, has targetted to bring in and market over 200 units of the allnew E-class saloons by year end. Its general manager Chua Tiong Aun said yesterday that the company is bringing in two models under the E-class range - the Mercedes E270 CDI and the Mercedes E240 models. Speaking to Bernama at the soft launch of the two models at the company's showroom here, he said that the company is trying to push for the sales of E270 CDI, amid high expectations of it getting good response from customers. "Since the interest in E-class model has somewhat faded because of the latest models, which have been introduced for quite some time, both the E240 and E270 are now poised to make a big comeback for the E-class model line," he said. Chua added that the company also received a reduced supply from Germany for these units because of its reigning popularity in the home country and other countries in Europe. "I am also confident that E270 CDI model with turbo diesel engines will receive good demand from corporate executives, especially under company's registration," he said. He said that the E270 CDI sedan in the upper mid-range luxury segment would be, suitable for businessmen, who preferred low cost fuel consumption, but who normally goes for long distance travelling, without sac- rificing on luxury and comfort. The company has already brought in 27 limited and highly full specs Avant-garde units a week ago, of which seven were the E270 CDI models and the remaining 20 the E240 models. Chua said that all units were fully booked and will be handed over to buyers up to the end of the year. The models are priced at RM550,000 and RM426,00 each, exclusive of insurance, he added.- Bernama
